Fitness Center Discount Program

The ParTNers for Health Wellness Program offers discounts to fitness centers across the state to provide members an affordable way to improve their health.

The Fitness Center Discount Program is open to all licensed centers (for-profit) and all non-profit centers in the state. Centers that choose to participate in the program set their own discount levels, including a reduced monthly membership fee and/or a reduced initiation fee. The State does not guarantee a set number of participants to the centers and does not contribute toward your cost to participate with a fitness center.

To access this benefit, contact a participating fitness center and ask for the discounted rate. You may be asked to show your insurance card as proof of eligibility.

If your fitness center is not listed, you may encourage the club manager to contact the ParTNers for Health Wellness Program to join the discount program. To add your fitness center to the list of participating centers, email partners.wellness@tn.gov and request the discount form.

Consumer Protection

The Tennessee Consumer Protection Act §47-18-301 requires all for-profit health clubs to register with the Tennessee Division of Consumer Affairs and obtain a Certificate of Registration each year. A health club must be registered to operate and sign up members.

Before joining a club, check to see that their Certificate of Registration is posted in an obvious place for all to see. If the club does not have a Certificate of Registration, contact the Division of Consumer Affairs at 800.342.8385 or email consumer.affairs@tn.gov.
